She was a devoted wife and mother, and very caring and welcoming.
Nancy was born June 18, 1941 and raised in Sims, Illinois. She met her husband of 57 years, Allan at Southern Illinois University, where she obtained her Bachelors Degree in Journalism. She put her degree to use mostly by doing secretarial work and dictation, primarily through the hospital.
She has lived in Alaska for the past 44 years with stops in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana before that.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Allan and her loving fur baby, Sassy.
She is survived by her son, Matthew and his wife, Shaneil; and her parents, Cindy and Ricky Gray, whom she considered family.
Arrangements by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.

I was so sorry to hear of Nancy´s passing. I have so many memories of her and her tireless work ethic, her sharp wit and her dedication to her work and her love for her family and her westies. Rest In Peace Nancy. My deepest sympathy, Donna L.

I am very sorry to see the loss of Nancy Janonis. I remember her as a very gentle, caring, strong woman. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel.
