Philip N. Corrington, age 78 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was born on August 5, 1947 in Detroit, MI the son of Rufus and Kathleen (Boldrick) Corrington.

Phil was raised on a farm near Blue Mound, IL. He graduated from Blue Mound High School and completed an Art degree from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. Phil and Linda Jordan met in high school and were united in marriage on August 17, 1968. They spend the next fifty-seven years raising a family and working together on their small farm.

Mr. Corrington was a commercial artist whose artwork is far reaching. His graphic designs have been used in logos, marketing campaigns, community organizations, trial graphics and much more. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.

Phil is survived by his wife, Linda Corrington of Yorkville, IL; his daughters, Jennifer (Kevin) Whittington of Bolingbrook, IL and Alissa (Dustin) Werner of Yorkville, IL; his eight grandchildren; his brother, Robert (Pamela) Corrington; also several nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held from 1:00PM thru 4:00 PM on Sunday March 29th with a Funeral Service immediately following at 4:00 PM at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL. A Graveside Service and Interment will take place at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 in the Zion Cemetery in Boody, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Phil's name can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Northern Illinois Hooved Animal Humane Society.
