I have prayed for peace and comfort for you, Jim. While not related, we share the same last name and profession. I take no credit for the good name of Shannon and you, but I am honored when people mistake us as related because of the great reputation you both hold.
I am very sorry for your loss, Jim. Find comfort in knowing that Shannon has been welcomed home because of her faith in the Lord, and that you will see her again.

Shannon's brilliance, kindness, compassion, sense of fairness, and good humor made her an effective District Attorney. She was well respected and always made time to give practical advice and reliable direction - something this young officer appreciated!

A kind lady. And always fair and thoughtful. It was a long time ago but many of us old guys were sad to hear this.
Praying for all the family.

Shannon was a wonderful Christian guide for young children during Bible Study Fellowship lessons. She will be missed. Her quiet, loving spirit was always welcoming and gentle.

Shannon was an exceptionally wonderful individual. I'm blessed to have known her as a friend, co-worker, and mentor. She had many, many friends in Alaska that will miss her very much. Blessings to Jim and all those that loved her.

It was with great sadness that I saw Shannon's picture in the ADN this morning. For many years we worked together at the ADAO. She always made me feel cared for. She attended my last baby shower 26 years ago as well as my 40th birthday party, bringing a fabulous strawberry cake from The Flying Dutchman. She gave us daffodils every spring in honor of her dad. She wore a vest made from his dress ties and a saucy maroon beret. When she would go on trips she would bring me back small thoughtful gifts that she had seen. She told me to pick up my feet, would say it was a good day for the drug unit, would ask me if I was sad or mad, would say no say say, and ask me if all Officers were named Steve. Despite our difficult work we had time for shenanigans. She had a wicked sense of humor and a gleam in her eye. She was our tail gunner. She loved her husband, baby sister, her dogs and her friends without fail. Shannon, I have not, nor will ever forget you. Most fondly. Laurie
