Shiela A. Gossett

1951 - 2012

Longtime Kasilof resident Shiela A. Gossett, 61, died Saturday, Dec. 1 at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna surrounded by family after a longtime illness.
Memorial services will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Kasilof Community Church. Pastor Floyd Seekins will officiate.
Shiela was born July 2, 1951 in Bakersfield, Calif. She moved to Kasilof with her family in 1959.
She worked as a Personal Care Attendant for Genacta most recently.
Shiela Gossett was known for her kindness and generosity to everyone she met. Shiela was always helping those in need without any hesitation. She cared a great deal for all of her family members.
Her granddaughter Myia says, "Nana was always there for me. I will miss her."
Her granddaughter Taylor says, "I loved going driving with Nana on the homestead. I will miss her smiling face."
"I will miss the good morning and good night phone calls daily," says her granddaughter Brianna.
Her grandson Lance says, "I love Nana and I'm gonna miss all the time I got to spend with her."
Daughter Donna says, "She was a wonderful mom who had a forgiving spirit and was always there for me night or day. I will miss her always."
"Mom had an amazing ability to make people feel special. She was always there for me and my girls. I was blessed to have her as my mom." says her daughter Lisa.
Shiela was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Gossett; her mother, Irene Bush; ex-husband, Chuck Perrill; brothers, Billy, Edward and Daniel Bush; her uncle, Dean Ruch; and nephew, Robert Bush, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Donna Kitchen and husband, Larry, of Kasilof; Lisa Gossett and boyfriend, Kurt Walgenbach, of Soldotna; Lanny Perrill and girlfriend, Torey Norenberg, Solana Perrill, and Audry Stickland and husband Vic; grandchildren, Brianna and Lance Kitchen, Taylor and Myia Wright, Karter Perrill, and Keenan Strickland; her father, Frank Bush, of Kasilof; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim Bush, Bob and Buttons Bush, Ronald Bush, Donny Bush and David and Anna Bush, all of Kasilof, and John and Diane Bush, of Soldotna; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements were by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
