Tera Michlitsch Obituary
Tera was born June 21, 1983, in Virginia, MN., to Craig L. Michlitsch and Melanie J. Helsley.
She moved to Soldotna, Alaska in 1994 where she resided in Nikiski through her school years and on and off over her life.
Tera worked for a wide range of jobs over her life and quickly excelled at each one.
She was active with Church of God in Soldotna and the Kings Alaska in Wasilla and participated in the community with NA Narcotics Anonymous and a variety of other churches.
She loved fishing, baking, hockey, camping, and hanging out with her daughter.
Words from a daughter, "My mom was a very adventurous person. She loved to fish. That was her most favorite thing to do other than seeing me. She loved to bake cupcakes and ride bikes. When I would go up to see her, we would always walk down to the river; and when I was little, she would always flatten flowers and send me them when she couldn't see me."
Tera was survived by her daughter, Bella Michlitsch of Nikiski, Ak.; fiancé, Matthew Scarito of Soldotna, Ak.; mother, Melanie Wolfe of Nikiski, Ak.; stepfather, John Wolfe of Nikiski, Ak.; brothers, Kyle Michlitsch of Cadillac, Mi., James Michlitsch of Detroit Lakes, Mn., and Shawn Michlitsch of Surprise, Az.; and adopted sister, Jodi Lout of Soldotna, Ak.; grandparents, Clifford and Beverly Helsley of Mansfield, Mo.; aunts, Mary (Jerry) Ragsdale of Monet, Mo., and Melissa (Randy) Heatherly of Springfield, Mo.; uncle, Michael (Heike) Helsley of Ozark, Mo.; nephews, Shawn, and Kyler of Ak., Gavin of Tn., and Ryan of Mn.; nieces Trinity and Ellie of Mn.; and "Auntie Tera" to many.
She was preceded in death by her father, Craig Michlitsch.

Viewing will be 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Peninsula Memorial Chapel, 5839 Kenai Spur Hwy. Kenai. A celebration of her life will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Alaska Christian Retreat, 37925 Deville Rd., Soldotna. Please send flowers to the funeral home.

Tera was such a lovely soul with a beautiful heart! I moved here from Louisiana met her at ATC. The first time I ever saw the northern lights was with her this past winter. When the show first hit this past winter we ran outside to try and build snowmen. The snow wasn't sticky enough so she made snow angels. She was such an amazing woman. She always talked about her little girl. My youngest and tera share the same birthday. My girls loved her. My oldest is autistic and doesn't give out hugs randomly but she did with tera the first time they met. It breaks my heart for her family. I plan on releasing balloons on their birthday for the rest of our lives in her memory. I also plan on buying a tree on here for her. This is all so unexpected. Wish I could hug her one last time. Love you tera.

This is very sad news for friends and family. Tera was such an awesome little goalie! Fearless and fast. She looked so tiny in the net but that little wisp of a girl was not ever intimidated by the hockey players that were most generally twice her size. Your KPHA hockey family will never forget you.
