Wayne Ctibor Obituary

Wayne Charles Ctibor, 74, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at his home.

He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Feb. 12, 1949.  He resided in Tulare, California, Wayne served as a medic in the Army which led to a career as an Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse.

Wayne was a passionate hunter and fishman who loved teaching and passing on his experiences to new as well as seasoned outdoorsmen. Wayne was able to realize his dream of living in Alaska full time in 2015, when he and close friends Jim Wolf, Robert Cocaine and others all helped build a guest home and main home near the Kenai River in Sterling Alaska.  His close friendship with Chuck Brady, Don Poole, Bill Daley, Dale Starkovch and the other friendships with the "Old Farts Coffee Club" helped him learn how to survive in Alaska where he was able to flourish. He continued guiding and teaching his passions until the week prior to his death.

He is survived by wife, Karen Ctibor; son, Don Ctibor; grandchildren, Emily, Morgan, Elise and Cole; daughter-in-law, Crystal; and sister Cyndee.

His son, Ben Ctibor passed away five months earlier on Jan. 20, 2023.
