Arlene Krumpe Obituary

Arlene Carole Krumpe, lovingly known as the Sunshine Girl, passed away on November 16, 2023, in Port Angeles, WA. She was born on September 4, 1936. Arlene was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who brought light and joy wherever she went. Her warm presence could brighten up any room, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer comfort to those in need.

Arlene was a devoted homemaker, dedicating herself to caring for her family. As the youngest son mentioned, she tirelessly ran her children around to all their activities, a job that was a full-time commitment in itself. Arlene's love and devotion to her family were unmatched.

In her free time, Arlene enjoyed needlepoint and reading adventure and old western novels. She was an active member of Fairview Grange for 45 years, where she selflessly helped families and children in need every Christmas by providing food and coats. Arlene also shared a passion for classic cars with her partner, Stan Forsell, and together they were members of the Peninsula Dream Machines. They would go on cruises around the Pacific Northwest and participate in poker runs to raise funds for children.

Arlene's memory will be cherished by her partner of 30 years, Stan Forsell, her children Mark J. Haltom, Karen A. Krumpe, and Sid R. Krumpe, as well as her 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Adolph N. Olsen, mother Georgie L. Sands, brother Donald R. Olsen, sister Marilyn E. Olsen, husband Sid R. Krumpe, sons Donald R. Haltom Jr and Clay L. Haltom, and great-grandchild Secret Emery.

A celebration of Arlene's life will be held on December 2nd at 11 am at Mount Angeles Memorial Park, followed by a reception at Fairview Grange. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County, an organization close to Arlene's heart. Arlene Carole Krumpe will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will continue to inspire and bring warmth to the lives of those she touched.

Arlene, thank you for being the mom I always wanted and needed in my life. You were a wonderful Grandma to my children, caring, gracious, and always so positive and energetic. I will think of you at every campout, holiday and Mother's Day! You welcomed everyone with open arms, a big hug and no judgement. I know you felt the love from all of us, but I need to say again, "I love you, Arlene!"

Arlene was a life time member of Fairview Grange! We worked beside her on numerous events! She was the glue that held everything together! She had many tragedies in her life and still brought a smile every time we saw her! She was like a mother to us! We will never forget you! Please know that you were so loved and we will help watch over Stan! Love eternally, Larry and Patti Morris

My grandma was an amazing woman. She was more then just a grandma, she was our friend, our leaning ear, should to cry on and always someone we could depend on. She was the glue that held our family together. I´m going to miss her dearly. I will continue to do what I can to make her proud. And don´t worry we will still have our chats
