Richard Parkhurst Obituary

Rick Parkhurst of Port Angeles lost his battle with cancer on August 5, 2013, at the age of 59 at his home.

He was born to Melvin Dean and Joan (Gunnels) Parkhurst on September 7, 1953, in Longview, Washington.

After serving with the U.S. Army, Rick moved to Port Angeles.

After a brief marriage to June Peters, he married Lori L. Simonson.

Rick took his career as a longshoreman very seriously, belonging to the ILWU (International Longshore and Warehouse Union) Local 27, and was a member of Calvary Chapel, Sequim.

Rick looked for any opportunity he could to go golfing. When he wasn't golfing, he enjoyed fishing and camping.

Rick leaves behind his wife, Lori; daughters Misty (Mike) Peterson, Shana Parkhurst-Myren and her husband, Russell Myren, and Crystal Parkhurst; brothers Terry (Joanie) Parkhurst and Wayne Parkhurst; sisters Phyllis Parkhurst, Linda Parkhurst and Lola (Victor) Sanchez; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service officiated by Hans Bailey will take place on Monday, August 12, 2013, from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Peninsula Golf Course, 824 South Lindberg Road, Port Angeles.

Please feel free to share memories in the online guestbook at www.drennanford.com.
