Beverly A. Lanham

Beverly A. Lanham, 75, of Mechanicsburg, passed away October 24, 2025, at home at Legend at Silver Creek. Born December 15, 1949, in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Elizabeth (Mertz) Buechley. Beverly was a 1967 graduate of Wilson High School. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in education. Although she taught at several locations earlier in her career, Beverly taught at the Carlisle Community Nursery School for 27 years before retiring. She enjoyed traveling- especially to the beach and collecting Polish Pottery. She was also active in the chapel at the Carlisle Barracks. Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Billy, who she shared over 54 years of marriage with. Additionally, she is survived by: her sister Barbara Emmett (Patrick); daughter-in-law, Amanda Lanham; grandchildren; Lily Marie and Austin Michael. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Jeffrey R. Lanham and Gregory P. Lanham. She will be greatly missed for her loving and kind nature. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11am at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Rd. Carlisle, PA 17013. A private family interment will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests making a donation to the American Cancer Society.
