Dr. Ada Lou Cherry

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Pensacola, FL for Dr. Ada Lou Cherry, 89, of Hattiesburg, MS.

She died Monday, August 28, 2017.

Dr. Cherry was a former College Professor at Ball St. University, University of Central Arkansas and retired from Jackson State University. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Josephine Cherry and one brother, John H. Cherry, Jr.

She is survived by one nephew, John Hart Cherry (Phyliss) of Baltimore, MD; three nieces, Susan Thames (Gary) of Pensacola, FL, Martha Bond of Matthews, NC and Lydia Eccles (Tom) of Orange Park, FL, also including a number of great nieces and nephews.

Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, MS is in charge of arrangements.
