I just tried to contact Ashton at work to see how Ann and Billy weathered Hurricane Michael, and I was shocked and saddened to learn of Ann's recent passing from Ashton's coworker. Ann was my mother's best friend and was one of the loveliest people I've ever known. I am so so sorry, and I am sending prayers of comfort to her family and friends.

I remember her kindness from PHS but knew very little about her until I read this tribute. A lovely memory of a lovely lady.

Ann was a nice friend when we were at PHS and after graduation it was a long time until we met again at a reunion. She was always so warm and friendly and truly grew into a great person--someone you would never forget. The memories of Ann are special and I know that she will always remain in my heart. My sympathy and prayers to Billy and her family.

Ann has been a dear friend since we were students at PHS. I have never known anyone whose smile could light up an entire room like Ann and whose presence and cheerfulness could result in a dreary day becoming cheerful. My most sincere sympathy and thoughts are toBill and the entire family.

It sorrows me each time I hear of the passing of loved ones of people whom I have the privilege of knowing. I have heard several stories from Beth about Ms. Ann and her relentless pursuit of excellence in all that she did. Making sure her children knew 'the King's English' so they knew how to represent themselves and the Suttle name properly each time they are speaking, is something I have experienced each time I have had the pleasure of my association with Beth. I know Ms. Ann was a wonderful women because wonderful children don't happen by accident and the child of hers that I know is just that, a wonderful young women. May God grant you His Perfect Peace as you grieve this loss in your lives.

Miss Love was my Spanish teacher at AV Clubbs-- when I moved from Pittsburgh, PA to Gulf Breeze in 1966. George Wolfe, another Spanish classmate of mine, (who lived in Gulf Breeze and who was also school bussed over to attend Clubbs middle school) we both attended her wedding! I will never forget that day. She was a lovely bride and had such a beautiful smile! Before Spanish class would start-- would watch her write letters to her friends in South America. Miss Love made such an impression on my life, and she was one of "those special teachers" that you could never forget. I am so sorry for your loss.

A perfect description of Ann Rainey Love Suttle. I first met Ann Rainey when I moved to Pensacola when I was in the 7th grade. I attended Warrington Methodist Church as a scared new kid in town. Ann gave me one of her million dollar smiles and took me into the youth group; several of us remained friends through high school and all these years beyond. Ann has not changed a bit in all these years. To be around her is to be in a warm light! What a wonderful legacy to leave behind, to always be remembered with a smile.
I so want to be able to come to say goodbye but family health issues keep me home for now. We really never say a final goodbye to those we love. They remain with us always in our hearts. I am so thankful I was blessed to be Ann's friend.
Sending prayers, love and hugs to Billy, Ashton, Libby and Joseph.

Ann blessed my heart as s student in her Southern Living class when I returned to live in Pensacola. When she mentioned Judy and Marilyn Barrineau in one of her stories, I could hardly wait until after class to ask her how she knew them. Marilyn was a friend of mine from Florida State. We found out we had both been in Marilyns wedding. Small world and delightful southern lady! A really special blessing to have known her.

I knew Ann as a Pi Phi sister at Birmingham Southern College. She was a special person and a wonderful leader. She was in the book club with my sister-in-law in Foley. I had a nice visit with her a few years ago. Our thoughts and heart are with you.
