Dear Mark & Alan,
My sincere condolences on the loss of your Mom,Bessie
Bessie and Sam were a big part of my life growing up in Gainesville at B'nai Israel.
There was no better conversation in Gainesville than with your Mom & Dad and your mom was just a great person to be around ,Bessie and Naomi were quite a tag team back in the day .
The oneg shabbats at the end of friday night services in the original Bnai were legendary and the recipies in the cookbook were the best :)
Bessie always knew what I was up to ,and she was alwyas hip to my scams,to grab as many 7 layer cookies as i could get in my mouth at 1 time, and as part of the original Gainesville B'nai Israel crew, Bessie will truly be missed
It is the end of a great era and I wish both of your famalies the best in your time of Sorrow.
Bessie ,lived a great life and it was a joy to always see her smiling face. I always enjoyed being around both of your parents ,they were great people, and will be truly missed.
My Sincere Condolences on your loss

To Mark and Alan, your Mom and Dad impacted all our lives. They were are parents away from home and our mentors. Marlene and I cherish each moment spent as part of the "Proctor family". Florida TEPS have lost their true "housemother".
Marlene/Stu Blumberg and the hundreds of TEPS whose lives were enriched.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Proctor family. I was born only a hundred yards from Sam and his family. Sam and Bess were always a part of the Shorsteins. Both meant so much to Ann and me throughout our years in Gainesville and after.
