BIBIANA "BEBE" STEARMER
1938 - 2008

Bibiana "Bebe" Stearmer, age 69, of Pensacola, passed away Friday, April 25, 2008. She was strongly dedicated in her faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of Fil-Am Baptist Church, 723 Stafford Lane, Pensacola, FL 32506. Throughout her life, her greatest joy was serving God along with her brothers and sisters in Christ.
She loved to sing hymns and enjoyed fellowship with her church family. Bebe has been an active church member extending her love for Christ in the way that Christ taught by giving and helping others before herself. She supported numerous missionaries and ministries in the US, Philippines and various other countries, recognizing the importance of sharing the gospel and working toward the salvation of souls. In 2004, she established and supported the Grace of God Baptist Church in Bueno Vista Castilliyos, Zambales, Philippines.
She loved to work in her garden and share the harvest of vegetables and flowers with friends and neighbors.
Bebe was a great singer, a wonderful friend, and a rock of strength and love to all who had the privilege to know her.
During her early 20's, Bebe was the President of the KMBC Fan Club in Subic Bay, Philippines.
Bebe was an accomplished business woman and administrator. She was a manager of the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba Day Care for four years where she worked for six years. She was also manager of the Philadephia Naval Shipyard Daycare Center for two years. After obtaining her cosmetology degree and working in the field, she started her own Beauty Salon "Bebe's Styling Salon".
Bebe was born in San Marcelino, Zambalas, Philippines. She was the eldest child of her parents, Antonio and Marcelino Aguillon who both preceded her in death.
Bebe is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Charlie Stearmer, Jr.; her children, Kenneth Stearmer (Laurie), Elizabeth Stearmer Jupena (Jim); her grandsons, Alex, Anthony and Joey: Grandma, we will miss your hugs and kisses. Her siblings are, Juliana, Marcelino, Marino, Christina, Ester, Susanna, Rebecca, Carolina, Florencio and Reynaldo.
Pallbearers will be Chico Lojo, Ben Claud, Ben Quinto, Gerry Pablo, Orly Josafat and Benito Bernal.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Mahone officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, FL.
FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Parkway, is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, April 27, 2008 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Bebe's family would like to thank the CCU Unit and staff at Baptist Hospital.
Mom, we love you so much. The sadness and loss is hard to bear, but we take comfort in knowing you are home with God the Father and Jesus Christ.

Auntie Bebe was a wonderful Christian woman and dear to me and all who knew her. I was privileged to be able to spend some time around her when I was younger. The quality of her spirit was always demonstrated by her endearing words and actions, along with insightful bits of wisdom she would share from her life experiences.

She taught me many lessons about the loving and caring nature of those from her native land, the Philippines. Whenever I was at the Stearmer’s home, Auntie Bebe was always quick to offer me a fork and a plate so I could partake of whatever she was cooking -- it was just her good nature and her way. She also impressed upon me how her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ would sustain her through any challenge on this earth. I can picture her joyfully singing songs with others in the church choir as she always did.

Uncle Charlie, Liza, and Kenny -- my family and I sincerely wish you peace as you deal with the loss of Auntie Bebe; but I remind you that you can be assured of where she is and know that she was very well received as she entered the Gates of Heaven. During these times, Christians are often told that “our loss (of a loved one) here on earth is Heaven’s gain!” No truer words could have been offered about Auntie Bebe. I am certain she was greeted and welcomed with the words: “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

She remains with us in spirit always: in the hearts of those she touched here on this earth; in the memories and prayers of those who knew her and loved her; and one day to be reunited with those who remain behind for now – but who will see her once again, when we will all will sing together with her once more. Thank you so much Auntie Bebe – Salamat po – for everything!
