Auntie Bebe was a wonderful Christian woman and dear to me and all who knew her. I was privileged to be able to spend some time around her when I was younger. The quality of her spirit was always demonstrated by her endearing words and actions, along with insightful bits of wisdom she would share from her life experiences.
She taught me many lessons about the loving and caring nature of those from her native land, the Philippines. Whenever I was at the Stearmer’s home, Auntie Bebe was always quick to offer me a fork and a plate so I could partake of whatever she was cooking -- it was just her good nature and her way. She also impressed upon me how her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ would sustain her through any challenge on this earth. I can picture her joyfully singing songs with others in the church choir as she always did.
Uncle Charlie, Liza, and Kenny -- my family and I sincerely wish you peace as you deal with the loss of Auntie Bebe; but I remind you that you can be assured of where she is and know that she was very well received as she entered the Gates of Heaven. During these times, Christians are often told that “our loss (of a loved one) here on earth is Heaven’s gain!” No truer words could have been offered about Auntie Bebe. I am certain she was greeted and welcomed with the words: “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
She remains with us in spirit always: in the hearts of those she touched here on this earth; in the memories and prayers of those who knew her and loved her; and one day to be reunited with those who remain behind for now – but who will see her once again, when we will all will sing together with her once more. Thank you so much Auntie Bebe – Salamat po – for everything!
