Billy Thompson Obituary
1936-2016
Billy E. Thompson, 78, of Milton passed away peacefully at home April 17, 2015, with his loving wife, Gwen at his side.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence "Tommy" Thompson and Ruth Thompson Parham; brother, Norman; sister, Betty and grandparents, Carmie and Norma Whitehead.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Gwen; sons, Billy (Suzie) Thompson, Larry Thompson, and David (Tifani) Thompson; ten grandchildren, Charity, Eric (Mandy), Jennifer (Brandon), Keith (Leah), Delane, Lauren, Jenna, Kyrsti, Kylie and Kamryn; sister, Judy (Myron) Lewis and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill Joined the U.S. Air Force and retired after 22 years of serving his country. Upon his retirement from the military, he went to work for Excambia County Maintenance Department and retired from the county after 22 years of employment.
Bill will be greatly missed by his beloved family and many friends.
Visitation will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South on Thursday, April 23rd from 10:30 am to 11:00 am with the funeral service starting at 11:00 am. Committal to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
