Granddaddy I know we did not spend lots of time together, but the quality of the time we did share lasts a lifetime. You are such a special person to so many people and I am so thankful to you for many reasons. Thank you for being a wonderful grandfather to us it was always such a joy to visit you. Thank you for raising a loving, caring, and hardworking son that eventually became our Dad. He is one of the most respected people in my life for the path he chose in accepting my sister, brothers and I as his own. It says a lot about a man when, as a stepfather, it seems like he was always just the Dad with no question. You were that man to my Dad and through your guidance, love, and commitment have made my Dad that for me. Thank you for your love you will be remembered and cherished always. Sending you peace on your journey. Your loving Granddaughter Serena

I will miss you, Byron. You were like a second father to me growing up. I think I spent just as much time at your house than I did my own! I love you and your family very much.
