Dr. Benton has been an important person in the lives of so many especially the "Tomblin Boys" family.
He was responsible for keeping both of my boys from leaving this earth on more than one occasion. He took exceptional care of each of them using wisdom that was God given. My son's are now close to 50 years old. Pensacola will miss Dr. Benton but his memory will be kept alive in the hearts of many parents and children. We were so blessed by crossing the path of such a beautiful person.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Benton's passing. He was my doctor and my children's doctor quite some time ago. He was instrumental in taking care of my younger brother Dallas. He was a kind and gentle soul. Dr. Benton earned his wings many times over. Your family is in our prayers

Dr. Benton was the pediatrician for me as a child and I took my children to him as well. I so remember his quiet caring demeanor and meeting us at his office on Sunday with a sick child. I was so pleased to run into him many years later at the Santa Rosa County Health Dept. He certainly was a good doctor and example for many. Judy Folmar Lockwood

I'm sorry to hear of Dr. Benton's passing. He was such a special man. He was my doctor over 40 years ago, and when I had children he was their doctor also. He was kind and loving to my children, and now they are having children, I always remind them how great Dr. Benton was and what a shame it is he isn't still practicing. Many times I had to call him at home and he would meet me at the office at whatever time of night it would be. He gave me confidence as a new mother and will always have a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

My condolences to Dr. Benton's family. He was my children's doctor over 40 years ago. I remember his concern, patience and dry humor dealing with an anxious young mother.

It was an honor for me to have gotten to know your husband and father. When I think of him, I see his capable and gentle hands...working the soil or soothing a sick child. It comforts me to know how many lives he changed with the touch of his hands...
I know this is a terrible loss for you all, Mrs. Benton, Carl and Ann. I know that you find solace in the fact that he was happiest and most content in your company. May he rest in peace.
