1955-2014
Denise Settle passed away Monday, November 17. Born Oct. 27, 1955 in Boston, MA, Denise moved to Brewton, AL as a toddler and lived there until meeting the love of her life, Ed Settle, whom she married. Denise later relocated to Pensacola where she was instrumental in helping with the creation of Mark Lees Skin Care. An accomplished esthetician, she always took an active interest in the lives of her clients beyond skin care. Her love of her work, clients, friends, and pets will be sorely missed by the many lives she touched.
Denise was preceded in death by her mother, Jewel Haugh, and husband Ed Settle. She is survived by her father, Matt Haugh, and sister, Kathy O'Connor (Bill), uncle Riley Elliott (Glenda), as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Special appreciation is extended to Drs. Charles Chapleau, James Adams and German Herrera, as well as Drs. Andrea Hackel and Jim Smith at Joyce Goldenberg Covenant Hospice Residence where Denise's struggle with brain cancer ended under the extraordinary care of the staff there.
On Saturday, November 22, there will be a casual gathering to celebrate Denise's life from 1-3 PM at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 7253 Plantation Road in Pensacola.
While Denise's journey has moved on, the world will miss her infectious laughter, smile, beauty, knowledge and caring for others.

Denise was a true blue friend. She always brought laughter & happiness along with great wisdom. I feel very blessed to have known her! I still can't believe God has taken this beautiful soul so soon.
