Evie Cox Obituary
1948-2007Evie C. White Cox, age 58, a life-long resident of Pensacola, FL, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007. Evie was born in Mobile, AL and moved to Pensacola from Kentucky when she was young. She was a Teacher's Aide at T.R. Miller in Brewton, AL, and a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church, and order of the Eastern Star. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, quilting, and needlework.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas William and Ina Lucille White.
She leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Billy Cox, and their son Thomas and his wife Lorrie Cox; brothers Thomas Harold White of Seminole, and David White; 4 grandchildren, Timothy J.R. Cox, Thomas W.M. Cox, Scarlet K. Ogo, and Taylor A. Northrup; and nieces and nephews, Keely Mosley, Seann Cox, Conni Carter, and Nicholas Carter.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 20, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home.
Funeral service will Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery, north of Brewton, AL, at 2:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Danny Cox, Nicholas Carter, Nick Carter, Harold White, Nob Jernigan, Charles Medlock, and Ronnie Mosley.
"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die." John 11:25-26.
