Heather Cox Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clemente Funeral Homes - Struthers on Mar. 30, 2026.
Struthers - Heather J. Cox, 49, passed away peacefully at her home on March 26, 2026, following a courageous and long-fought battle with breast cancer.

Heather was born May 13, 1976, in Struthers, Ohio. A proud 1994 honors graduate of Struthers High School, she spent all four years as a dedicated cheerleader. She will always be remembered for her infectious smile, a warmth she carried with her through her years at Kent State University and later to San Francisco, California, where she pursued a successful career in real estate.

Heather lived life to the fullest and possessed a deep passion for traveling the world. After many years of coastal adventures, her journey eventually brought her back home to Struthers, where she spent the final year of her life surrounded by the love of her family.

She leaves behind her father, Raymond Cox of Struthers, with whom she made her home; her brother, Sean (Caroline) Cox of Lowellville; her sister, Michelle (Bob) Scheppler of Novato, California; her niece, Kaley Scheppler; and her nephew, Anthony Scheppler. She also leaves behind her beloved companion, her cat, Pharoah.

Heather was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Carducci Cox.

In accordance with Heather's wishes, there will be no calling hours or formal services.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the traveling nurses of Mercy Health Hospice of the Valley by Compassus for their exceptional patience, compassion, and care during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions may be made in Heather's memory to:

Angels for Animals 4750 W. South Range Rd. Canfield, Ohio 44406
