Jeff Robinson Obituary

Steven Jeffery

Robinson

Steven Jeffery "Jeff" Robinson lost his battle with glioblastoma in the comfort of his Minnesota home on Nov. 1. Jeff was 45 years old.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Marti Martin Robinson; sister Beverly Robinson Hise (Norman) (Milton, FL); brothers Calvin Robinson (Shelley) (Pace, FL), Will Robinson (Kathy) (Milton, FL), Frank Robinson (Terry) (Wallace, FL), and Tom Robinson (Brenda) (Rockland, ME); his beloved aunt Helen Crews (Pace, FL); and numerous extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Clara Nell (West) Robinson and his father Wallace I. Robinson of Milton, FL.

Jeff was born on Dec. 13, 1968 in Milton, FL. He spent his early 20s co-founding Mystic Garage, writing, punk-rockin', and expanding his love of cooking. In the early '90s he moved to Minneapolis, MN where he continued on his culinary path at several area restaurants. In 2011 he married the love of his life on a crisp and joyous fall evening.

Jeff was a chef, gardener, bicyclist and music & book lover. He loved animals and is now reunited with several of his pets. He was kind, empathetic, and gracious, with a dry, mischievous sense of humor. He will be eternally remembered for his quiet, welcoming smile, his sweet demeanor, and the many dishes he created and lovingly served.

A Memorial Service is planned for Tue., Nov. 11, 2014 at Hiawatha Church in Minneapolis with a celebration of Jeff's life to follow. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Jeff's name to bestfriends.org. Condolences may be posted to dearjeffrobinson.wordpress.com.
