Joe and I became friends while serving together on the Midway Fire
board of Commissioners. I immediately learned to trust Joe for the fair minded and open approach that he exhibited in every situation. I'll miss Joe and know that he has reached the eternal peace that he so richly deserves.

Joe was my first boss when joining Monsanto back in 1980. He was a wonderful mentor who cared a lot about developing his people. He allowed me many opportunities and I still use many of his management lessons today in my workplace. He offered good advice and his home was open to many business parties, which Celia graciously hosted. Joe and Celia were the ultimate southern couple who always made you feel at home.

Having known Joe my whole Monsanto career, I am proud to have been associated with him as a fellow accountant. Joan and I extend our condolences. Earl
