Joshua Earl Helms, 32, of Milton, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013. Joshua was a native and lifelong resident of Milton. He is preceded in death by a son, Landon Helms, his paternal grandfather, Earl M. Helms, Sr., maternal grandparents, Anthony and Joan Pittman and paternal step-grandfather, K. W. Kuethe.
He is survived by his son, Brandon Helms, who he loved so very dearly; his parents, Dink and Lisa Helms; his sisters, Jessica (Shawn) Cook, and Jenise (Aaron) Cooley; a nephew, Kaleb White, a niece, Kaitlyn Cooley; special aunts, Becky Bell and Twana Helms; and a special uncle, Butch Cumbie; paternal grandmother, Mary Helms Kuethe; maternal grandfather, Ronald Bell; maternal great grandmother, Dorothy Bell; his childhood and lifelong best friend, Clay Willett; and so many more special family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel with Rev. Donald Leavins, and Elder Wayne Blocker officiating. Burial will follow in the Harold Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm on Friday, November 15, 2013, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, prior to services.
