Juney Harrelson Obituary
Harrelson
1936-2013
Juney "Harold" Harrelson, of Pace, FL, age 76, went to be with his Lord and Savior,on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. He was born in Covington County, Alabama, June 29, 1936, to the late, Marshall Hilton and Ruby Matthews Harrelson.
He attended Red Level High School in Red Level, Alabama, before he joined the Air Force in 1953 and served our country for 4 years. Before retiring he owned in Pace, FL, 'Custom Cushions' and 'Custom Design Interiors'-- both of which built custom interiors for bass boats and other types of marine boats. He was also an accomplished furniture and car upholsterer. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Old Bagdad Hwy, Milton, FL.
He loved hunting with the hunting clubs he had joined throughout the years in Alabama and Florida and enjoyed deep sea fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
"Harold" will be missed by those left to cherish his memory.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Mary Ellen Brooks Harrelson; one brother, Willie Fern Harrelson (Sharon); five children, Dennis Harrelson (Karen), Vickie Williams, Donna Sue Taft (Troy), Renea Shouppe (Dennis, and Tracy Harrelson; 6 grandchildren;1 great-grandchild; 4 step-grandchildren; and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 25, 2013, prior to the services at 3:00 pm.
Burial will be at Elizabeth Chapel Community Cemetery on Chumuckla Highway immediately following the services.
The family wishes to thank Covenant Hospice, Staff at the Joyce Goldenberg Hospice Care Facility, family, friends, nurses on the 4th floor CCU at West Florida Hospital with Harold's personal doctors.

Thoughts and prayers are with you Donna and your family. Only met your father once or twice many years ago. Always think of you and your dad when going up home to red level, keep living the way you do and your dad will always be near.

Dear cousins,
I wish I could have been there with you but know that you have been in my thoughts and prayers. I know what you are going through and that you are a hurting. It is so difficult to lose them. My comfort was knowing the pain was over. We will see them again. I do believe that. I am glad you all have each other during this time. Hold on to family and the happy times you shared with your Dad.

I wanted to share a funny story, as many of you probably didn't even know my Dad's first name was Juney. My grandmother had picked out the name Harold, but said she couldn't think of a middle name. (My grandparents were very uncomplicated people). My grandfather said, "I don't know, he was born in June, name him Juney". My father said HE didn't even know he had another name besides Harold, until he joined the Air Force. I didn't know he had another name besides "Daddy".
