Lex P. Hildreth, age 74, of Pensacola, Florida finished his fight with Parkinson's on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. Lex took the path many young men did and married the love of his life, Pamela Joan, because he just couldn't "take his eyes off of her". He went on to serve his country, becoming a Sergeant in the Air Force and later worked in Civil Service NAS Pensacola until retirement. Lex was active in serving his church throughout his life. Everyone who knew him, was aware that, in Lex, they had found a man true to his word and always willing to offer support to those who needed it. He was a member of Olive Baptist Church. Lex was preceded in death by his father, Max, mother, Bernice, brother Max, Jr., and brother Hubert. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Joan Hildreth of 52 years, his son, Chris (Amy) Hildreth of Georgia, daughter, Cindy Hildreth of Tennessee, granddaughters, Emma and Ana Ruthe Hildreth of Georgia, brother, Charles (Marie) Hildreth of Arizona and uncle, Bill (Anne) Wallace of Florida. A visitation will be held at Family Funeral & Cremation, located at 7253 Plantation Road in Pensacola on Friday, April 21,2017 at 10:30 a.m. With a service and interment to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Olive Baptist Ministry Village or Covenant Hospice. Special thanks to the diligent staff at Joyce Goldenberg Covenant Hospice who provided care and grace during Lex's final days.
