Michael Richey Obituary
Michael Charles Richey, 67, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on August 13, 2021. Born a Valentine's baby in 1954, he was the son to the late Charles and Minnie Kay Richey. Michael is survived by his wife, Whitney; his children, Charlie and Emily; sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and John Britt; sisters Linda Owens and Suzanne Paedae; and nieces and nephews Ashley Britt, Savannah Britt, Randi Rawson, Brennan Paedae (Hannah), and Samantha Paedae (Katherine). Born and raised in Pensacola, he was the founder of Richey's East, Inc. Michael brought joy and laughter to all who had the opportunity to have his charismatic presence apart of their lives. He and his wife had an awe-inspiring love with an inseparable bond like no other. His generosity and kindness exemplified his rare heart of gold. Michael will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving husband, devoted father, aquatic adventurer, pizza connoisseur, gun enthusiast, avid Saints fanatic, and a self-proclaimed cowboy. The world is now short one surreal individual who will be sorely missed.
Michael will be honored with a private family memorial. His Facebook page will remain open and all are welcome to post memories and final words to him there.

Just thought of a memory I had with Mike when he lived at scenic Hills. We would take his golf cart down to the lakes around the Golf course at night and go swimming for golf balls. Crazy guy wonderful wonderful friend always laughing always happy. Wish I could have seen him these last few years. You are remembered. God bless your family.

Just learned of Mike´s passing. Was a childhood friend around scenic Heights CC area. Many great memories as a youngster. Doing some crazy things together. Remember his mom dad and three sisters. Great family sorry I missed his service and couldn´t have to him sooner.

My condolences to Michael´s family. Our families were friends back in the Scenic Hills days. His parents were gold, so it doesn´t surprise me to read the comments that Michael was a gem of a man.
I pray for all of y´all, as this is a tough road, to lose a sibling. You always think y´all are all gonna grow old together-forever. May he Rest In Peace in Gods loving arms.

I grew up around the corner from Mike and his family. They lived on Bayou Chico and we played in the trees hanging over the bayou.
My heart and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. He will be sorely missed.
