Aunt Minnie Mae was one of a kind and our family loved her dearly. She often spent time with my mother and they had a wonderful time together. We will miss her very much. Her legacy as a mother is what impresses me most. Her children are tributes to her love and faith.

I was once asked to think back to the first time I remember hearing the gospel, who was it and did it contribute to my salvation. My answer was "Granny Thorpe" while being in her Sunday School class, and yes that is why I am a Christian today. I have often shared my memories of being in Granny's class. What sweet memories. I rejoice in her homecoming, and offer my prayers for the family.

I will certainly miss hearing Aunt Minnie Mae's wonderfully funny stories. She always had a way of making people laugh! I wish that we could have been able to show her EllaKate once more before she passed but I know she is rocking her sister Grace right now in heaven. I will always remember her telling me that once she got to heaven that was one of the first things she would do. I am sure she is loving on her now! I miss you Minnie Mae...thanks for all of the wonderful memories.

Granny was a very special person as well as a spiritual inspiration. I will always have wonderful memories of my time growing up at Smyrna and her being such a big part of it. My prayers are with you all during this time.

There are some people that you think will always be there ... that they will last forever ... "Grannie" was one of them ... I will never forget our visits and especially her fried chicken.
I love you family and am praying for you ...
God bless all of you ...
