Richard Ursrey Obituary
Pensacola - After a protracted battle with cancer, Richard Jeff Ursrey died on July 21, 2018 in Pensacola, FL at the age of 55. Jeff was born on February 14, 1963 to Guy and Barbara Ursrey.
He was preceded in death by his father. He grew up in Hazlehurst, Georgia with his three siblings Mike, Tami (John), and Todd (JoBeth). He moved to Pensacola to attend college and graduated from the University of West Florida with a degree in Physics. Jeff had a passion for the outdoors and loved to fish and golf. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Traci Disney Ursrey; his two children Dylan (Hollyn) and Brooke; his grandchildren Peyton and Madelyn, his special aunt Gayle U.Wooten, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Jeff will take place on Wednesday, July 25th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Faith Chapel North located in Cantonment, FL.
A memorial service will take place at Northridge Church in Pensacola, FL at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 26th.
The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors at MD Anderson in Houston and Dr. Mann, his local oncologist, for their compassionate care during the past five years. Also, the family would like to thank the nurses at the Baptist Hospital SINU for the excellent care provided to Jeff during his last days.
