Tommie Thompson Obituary

Tommie Lee Thompson, Sr.

Pace - On December 18, 2017 Tommie Lee Thompson, Sr., age 90, passed peacefully into eternity with his Heavenly Father. He was born on August 4, 1927 to Willie Gaston Thompson and Willie Cordell Shirley Thompson in Covington County, Alabama. He enjoyed camping trips with his family, growing a garden, music, and more than anything he loved having his family gathered around him. He was a loving father, devoted husband and adoring grandfather and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mildred Thompson, and his son, Robert Mitchell Thompson. He is survived by his son Tommie L. (Pauline) Thompson of Pace, FL, two daughters: Cynthia (Mark) Hicks of Pace, FL, and Patty (Jimmy) Lay of Navarre, FL, four granddaughters: Stephanny Thompson Harrell, Mandee Thompson Black, Whitney Lay Cutler, Chloe Hicks, four great grandchildren, Alexia Gardner, Jasmine Fox, Aidan and Nya Dean, five sisters: Frances Prater and Shirley Ellison of Opp, AL, Estelle Ward, Voncille Tidwell, and Joan Gwynne of Dothan, AL, and a brother Gene Thompson of Phenix City, AL, and many nieces and nephews.
