Darla Reeves

1947 - 2023

Lancaster Darla Mae (Miller) Reeves, age 76, passed away peacefully May 18, 2023 at Fairfield Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

She was the daughter of the late Edward Miller and Clara (Bill) Fox. She was born in Lancaster, Ohio, on May 3, 1947.

She was a homemaker and spent most of her time and energy raising eight children, She was an active member of the New Lexington Christain Church for 30-plus years, where she gained a second family. She loved opening her home to family and friends. She spent many hours in the kitchen cooking delicious meals for everyone. She loved hosting and making everyone feel "at home." Darla, with her late husband Charles, spent many years as "Mom and Dad" to many foster children.

She is survived by her children, Leah Reeves, Carla (John) Moore, Charlie Reeves, Ed Reeves (Monica), Stephaney Reeves (Ken), Doug (Becky) Reeves, Cindy (Tony) Beard and Steven Reeves; 10 grandchildren; Tony, Laith, Abby, Lily, Jacob, Bethany, Destyn, Taya, Karli, Eli; five great-grandchildren, and sister Donna (Mike) Anderson, as well as nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind special friends Tim and Pam Baker.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Charles, parents, and brother Don Miller.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023, from noon to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m. with funeral services at 6 p.m. at Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill St., New Lexington, Ohio.
