Michael Robert Rorvik, 59, of Peru, IN, passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Michael was born to Stanley Rorvik and Gladys (Mustad) Garza- Cantu, on July 4, 1964, in Glasgow, Montana.
Michael graduated from Interlake High School in Bellevue, WA. After graduation, Michael served in the United States Marine Corps. Michael was the owner and operator of Recovery Recycling in Peru, where dedicated over 20 years of service.
While he had a true passion for his work, in his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family, and especially his children and grandchildren.
Surviving Michael include his mother; Gladys (Mustad) Garza-Cantu, step-father; Arturo Garza-Cantu, children; Brittany Rorvik, Quinn (Madyson) Rorvik, Haylie Rorvik, Abby Sparks, Morgan Elburn, Wyatt Rorvik, Colton Rorvik, Lydia Rorvik, Owen Rorvik, brothers; Stanley Jr, Jose Garza-Cantu, sisters; Dana Bean, Germaine Sather, Cristina Garza-Cantu, and grandchildren; Cooper Rorvik, Sullivan Rorvik.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Rorvik and his sister Jill McMillan
A memorial service honoring the life of Michael will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 1:00 pm, located at Riverview Funeral Home in Peru, 421 West Canal Street, with Pastor Bud Sparks officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral, where Military Rites will be performed.
