William Craig Bruce 68, of Peru passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.
Born on October 18, 1955 in Chicago, he was the son of the late William and Lucile (Worboys) Bruce.
He retired from Matthew-Warren in Logansport where he worked in the maintenance department.
Craig had a child-like faith and tremendous love for the Lord. He was a part of many launch services for new churches. He also used his free time to minister for God Behind Bars. He was a member of Abundant Life Church in Peru.
He enjoyed being outdoors and trying new foods with his "little Lizzy."
Craig is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Elizabeth and sisters, Beckie Smith (Dave) and Valerie Wilson. Craig loved his children, Lori Grigsby (Chad), Bryan Bruce (Stephanie), Jessica Bruce, Abigail Bruce, Benjamin Bruce (Jennifer) Jedidiah Bruce, John Bruce, Havilah Skeans, Joel Bruce (Stella), Lynisa Rogers (Gary), and Cecilee Bruce (Matthew). Craig had many grandchildren who he loved greatly, Kayliana, Lexi, Eli, Maddy, Mayah, Drew, Trae, Teyannah, Tresa, Sophie, Angelea, Vanessa, Brooklyn, Raya, Kyler, Coralynn, Neekka, Genevive, Hurley, Abrahm, Jameson, Callum and Melody. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Eric Trexler, son and Shyanne Garcia, granddaughter.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Abundant Life Church, 105 S. Benton St., Peru with Pastor Dustin Smith officiating. Please have all flowers and other items sent to Abundant Life Church.
There will be a reception immediately following the Celebration of Life Service.
Memorial contributions can be made to "God Behind Bars". Checks can be made payable to Elizabeth Bruce.
