George Stegmaier Obituary

GEORGE W. "BILL" STEGMAIER, 65, FORMERLY OF PERKIOMENVILLE George W. "Bill" Stegmaier, 65, of Muncy Valley and formerly of Perkiomenville, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 with his family at his side, at The Gatehouse, a division of Divine Providence Hospital. Born on March 19, 1946, in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Avery and Doris Stegmaier. He and his wife, Lynnette F. (Dulsky), would have celebrated 10 years of marriage on September 1, 2011. Bill was a Vietnam War veteran and retired from the U.S. Navy after serving honorably for 23 years. He was a Life Member of the VFW Post 7155, Trappe, and the NRA. Bill was also a member of the North Mountain Sportsman Association and the GoldWing Road Riders Association. An outdoor enthusiast, Bill enjoyed hunting, riding his GoldWing, and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his son, Raymond L. Stegmaier and his wife, Allyson of Phoenixville; three daughters, Jennifer L. Strohm of Idaho; Nicole A. Foley and her husband, Eric of Gilbertsville, and Breana L. Leflar of Coatesville; a brother, John E. Stegmaier and his wife, Marty of Virginia; a sister, Barbara Jean Stegmaier of South Carolina, and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. with a memorial service immediately following at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, PA with Barbara A. Rhoat, CLS officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's memory to The Gatehouse, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
