Mrs. Jones & Family
You all have suffered such a great loss and my heart is so heavy for each of you. Emory always had a smile and a kind word to say each time I saw him. Mrs. Jones, I think you know that Vance considers you his family and we both have such a great respect for the example that you set.

I had the privilege of working at the Oconee office and getting to know Emory. He was a dear friend of my parents and I was thrilled to have him as my county director. Emory was a true southern gentleman. I never heard him complain or say anything negative. He spoke so fondly of Joy and his children. I know that as a man of faith he is with his savior. Emory's shoes will not be filled but our memories of this fine man will continue to fill our hearts. My condolences to all the Jones family.

I was so sorry when you called me Joy. Emory and I had a long friendship working at Clemson Extension Service. I considered Emory to be the very best County Extension Agent I worked with over the years. Later he was actually my supervisor which wasn't a problem because I knew Emory to be honest and fair. When Emory told me he was retiring and I replied I am too if you are retiring and I did !! Emory loved his family and spoke of you often. Martha and I are praying for all of you. You have lost a family member and we have lost a dear friend. Love Martha and Jack Ruff

Emory will be missed by so many . He was always there with a smile that made me feel welcome and never did I feel my questions about my lone peach tree were dumb. He was such a friend to so many. I am sure he is smiling now, as he works in God's farms in Paradise.
