EASLEY — Dr. Robert Mark Miller, 87, of Easley entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on September 18, 2021.
Born in Galax, Va., he was the son of the late Edith and the late William Miller.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Nancy, his son Mark, and his brother William. Bob is survived by his loving wife Gail, daughters Robin Miller of Tucson, Ariz., and Renee (David) Montgomery of Bethel Park, Penn.; brothers Don (Linda) Miller of Monroe, Ga., and Richard Miller of Concord, N.C.; sister Patti (Donald) Stone of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sister-in-law Joan (William) Miller of Greenville, S.C.; six grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior under the ministry of Tabernacle Church of Norfolk, Va. Bob earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Miami, a master's from Georgia State University, and a doctorate from NOVA University.
Bob dedicated his career to Christian Education serving as teacher, principal, and superintendent in several schools, primarily at Norfolk Christian Schools, Norfolk, VA from 1972-1998. In 1998, Bob joined the staff of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) serving as Director of Leadership Development.
Bob retired to Easley in 2007 where he became a faithful member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church and taught adult Sunday School. Bob also remained active in ministry through Community Bible Study and Kairos Prison Ministry.
Family will receive friends on October 4, 2021 from 1-1:45 p.m., at Brushy Creek Baptist Church, 100 Clay St., Easley, SC with A Celebration of Life to follow at 2 p.m.
