Our families knew each other through the Navy. We were a big part of each others youth. Man on the Moon, Woodstock, and the Viet Nam war. A lot was going on. We took it all in stride. We both had beautiful girlfriends, that later became our wives. Drive-Ins, double dating, cruising in a "56"( or 57)Chevy. Memory not as good as it used to be. 8-Track players, the greatest. You had to mount them in your glove box, or people would steal them. New Year's Eve parties at his parent's house were always unpredictable and a blast. Memories of my youth that I will always cherish. Rest in peace, Dickie.

My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. I have so many wonderful memories of him. He loved to play tennis. He even played with head of PE department at William and Mary. He loved his family and was very close to Debbie and Denise. Dickie was loved by Princess Anne High School class of 1969. As senior president he would make daily announcements to our senior class of close to 600 classmates in the auditorium. He was active in school and loved by so many friends. I was married to him for 3 and 1/2 years. Not only was he my husband but also my best friend. We shared many happy years together. He loved to surf so we would go to the beach often. He would stay on on the board all day except to eat lunch. It wasn't until 1976 that he became ill. I didn't know that he was ill and he changed as a person. I will always remember him as the energetic and caring person that he was. RIP Dickie.

I met Dickie when he started working at Burger Chef while he was a senior at Princess Ann high school. A lot of nights after work we would stop at his house and watch The Late Show with Johnny Carson for some laughs.

We took up the sport of tennis and spent many an hour chasing that ball all over the court. Even later in life, whenever possible, we would hit the courts for some friendly competition.

I will remember Dickie as an energetic upbeat person who loved to read, enjoyed listening to music and loved being with family and friends.
