Antoinette Baxter Obituary
Virginia Beach - Antoinette Contrado Baxter, 94, went to her heavenly home from Morningside Assisted Living of Williamsburg, VA on March 26, 2015. Born in Portsmouth, VA, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Angela Matalune Contrado, and was the youngest of nine children. Beloved wife of the late Richard B. Baxter, she is survived by her daughter Patricia Baxter Grant of Lanexa, VA and grandchildren, Jeffrey Stuart Grant (Nisha) of Richmond, Va., and Kelley Dianne Grant of Alexandria, Va., all of whom were the loves of her life.
Antoinette was a graduate of Hicks Beauty Academy in Norfolk, VA and began her career at the Smith and Welton beauty salon. A faithful member of St Gregory's Catholic Church for over 50 years and a member of the September and Rainbow Clubs. She was always available to help a friend in need, and was loved by all.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., 1501 Colonial Ave., Norfolk, VA. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at St. Gregory's Catholic Church located at 5345 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Hospice of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Pkwy., Williamsburg, VA 23188. Online condolences may be offered to the family through hdoliver.com.

I got to know Toni a few years ago....and she became ,immediately, my dear,good friend..she was an amazing lady ...always cheerful and full of fun...I am just sorry our close relation.ship grew apart when she moved away from my area....I will always remember her....Marylou Bailey
