Barbara M. Segnari NORFOLK - Barbara M. Segnari, 74, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 at home. Born Feb. 5, 1936 in Norfolk, Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Alvin T. Segnari; granddaughter, Tasha L. Vergara; grandson, Shawn D. Vergara; and three sisters, Ellen Sutton, Susie Luteran and Mary Jane Eubank. A lifelong member of Willowwood Presbyterian Church, Barbara served in many capacities: treasurer, Ladies Home Circle leader, choir member and elder. Her love for God and devotion to her faith was witnessed by all. Her children and grandchildren would like to thank her for her most precious gift to them - her faith in Jesus Christ. Additionally, no mother was more patient, kind and loving. Barbara is survived by her three children, Christine Vergara, Cheryl Calazara and John J. Jarvis; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, in the chapel at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502. The viewing will take place one hour prior to the service followed by a graveside service in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. A gathering will take place immediately following the graveside service at the home of Barbara's grandson, Jeremy Calazara. Driving directions to the gathering will be available at the funeral home. The family would like to thank all those who ministered and prayed for Barbara. A special thank you to the Rev.
