Although my heart aches to hear of the loss of a cherished friend and one dynamic lady. I rejoice knowing that Barbara rests in the loving embrace of Almighty God. I was blessed to call precious "Sookie" ~Friend, like countless others and she in return, had a wonderful lilt in her voice when she called me "Ma". I will recall in the days ahead many special moments we shared. Mt prayers are for God's grace and comfort for her beloved Family and the rest of US whose lives she graced with her presence.

Barbara and her sister Sue were friends from North Main Street in Cohasset. My sister Valerie and I spent endless hours at the Scott house playing dolls, searching for salamanders and having endless games of red light. I have wonderful, warm memories of those days. My sister and I were fortunate to reconnect with Barbara and Sue several years ago, and the years we were apart simply fell away. Barbara was a wonderful, warm and loving friend. She always spoke of her family with great love and pride, and I hope that love sustains you in your sorrow over her passing.

I will miss a dear friend. Barbara and I were high school friends in Cohasset, MA. Although we lost touch through the years, we reconnected through Facebook. Her funny stories of her trips to Maine and her brother-in-law's accent always made me laugh! Pictures of her grandchildren were always shared and I could see how much she loved them. May you be comforted by her love and memories.

Barbara was one of the best teachers I ever had the pleasure or working with at Mack Benn Elementary School. We had many good times together. She gave to life all that she could and we are all blessed to have known her. Sookie, you are in God's "school" now - I know you are already teaching the other angels!
