Brenda M. Dismaya

Virginia Beach - Brenda Marcella Dismaya, 70, peacefully passed away on March 18, 2017, in her home surrounded by her family.

Brenda was born on July 27, 1946, in San Fabian, Pangasinan, Philippines. She is the daughter of Mayor Santiago and Mrs. Dominga Marcella. Brenda graduated from the prestigious University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines from the School of Nursing in 1967. Brenda was a dedicated Registered Nurse for Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for 35 years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Romeo; her children, Liza, Ronald (Charlene), and Robert; and her grandchildren, Rocket, Elle, Marley, and Macy. She is also survived by her sisters, Dr. Lilia Santos (and family) and Mrs. Urding Dizon (and family); and her brothers, Atty. Santiago Marcella (and family) and Mr. Emmanuel Marcella (and family).

An open visitation will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel at 1485 Kempsville Rd. in Virginia Beach on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A novena prayer will be held at 5:30 p.m., prior to the visitation. A memorial service will be held at Saint Matthew Catholic Church in Virginia Beach on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at:
