Brenda Howard Obituary
Brenda J. Howard VIRGINIA BEACH - Brenda J. Howard, 61, of the 6300 block of Auburn Drive, departed this life June 14, 2008. She was the pastor of Missionary To Help Others Church, Virginia Beach, and employed by the STOP Organization as a Head Start teacher. Pastor Howard was predeceased by her husband, Bishop Robert S. Howard Jr. and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth L. Phillips. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Sheleen R. Howard; five sons, Robert S. Howard III, Michael A. Howard (Frances), DaShaun A. Howard (Tovin), Marcell T. Howard (Jacqueline) and Kendrick L. Howard (Crystal); 11 grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. The funeral will be held today at 11 a.m. in New Jerusalem COGIC, 118 Erie Ave., Virginia Beach. Bishop B.K. Thoroughgood, pastor. Interment will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. Viewing was held June 18 from 3 to 8 p.m. with visitation with family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Beach Funeral Services Inc., 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach.
