Candace Avents Obituary
Suffolk - Candace Jamila Avents 30, served God's purpose in her time, passed on September 6, 2013 in Obici Hospial. She was a graduate of I.C. Norcom High School and a graduate of Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Detric O. Avents, 2 children, Brendin O. Avents, Breyauna L. Avents, parents, Pastor Ralph, Lynnette Richardson & grandmother Sylvia E. Richardson, a sister, Arminta Richardson Harris (Michael), a brother CPT Roderick Richardson, Sr.,in-laws, Pastor Craig & Karen Avents, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of a life well spent will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 11:00a.m. at Little Grove Baptist Church, 6320 Town Point Road, Suffolk, VA. Entombment will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk,VA. Viewing will begin on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m where at 6 p.m. the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Ivy Beyond the Wall ceremony will take place. Fisher Funeral Home. 1520 Effingham Street, Portsmouth, VA.

Although we didn't know her well, all the good things we heard today made us feel as if we had known her for along time.
