Catherine Smith Obituary

Catherine C. Smith CHESAPEAKE - Catherine Coolidge "Coo" Smith, 81, of the 1200 block of Yeadon Road, passed away April 22, 2010. She was born June 3, 1928 to the late John and Fannie Bell. Deaconess Smith was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Smith. She is survived by four sons, Micheal Bell, Jarvis Bell, Gregory Bell (Johnnie) and Barry Smith; one daughter, Marilyn Bell; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; one brother, Joseph L. Bell; a very special sister, Ruth H. Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Mark UCC, 521 Obendorfer St. Interment will be at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. today in Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley Chapel. Condolences may be offered at www.metropolitanfuneral service.com.

The entire Hunt family want to express our deepest condolences and our thoughts and prayers are with you. I reminiscence about the wonderful smile and the sweet melancholy singing voice of Mrs.Catherine. We celebrate her legacy and a life well lived. Above we will cherish these memories forever.
