Charles Wesley Nash, Jr.

Portsmouth - Charles "Wesley" Nash Jr. was born on June 18, 1938 in Richmond, VA to the late Charles W. Nash Sr. and Louise A. Nash. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Leon Nash and Willis Nash and sister, Geraldine S. Phillips. He grew up in Richmond VA.

He retired from the US Navy and US Postal Service.

He leaves to cherish in his memory one son, Charles W. Nash III (Tanya); one granddaughter, Delani A. Nash known to her grandpa as "My Girl"; former spouse, Stella M. Nash all of Portsmouth, VA; elder cousins, Rhonda Chasten and Levi Chasten of Philadelphia and Carolyn Nash Fuller and Patricia Nash of Richmond, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends that will miss him dearly.

A funeral service will be held, 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 23, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church 1317 Gust Lane Chesapeake, VA; Presiding Clergy Sammie L. Logan. A viewing will be held, 11am-5pm, Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Portsmouth. Family and friends will assemble at the 512 Rapidan Portsmouth, VA one hour prior to the service. Charles will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery Suffolk, VA.
