Fondly remember singing in choir together and the year we strolled in together, arm in arm in our Victorian dresses for the Christmas program. She fought a long, hard battle and know she is now at peace. Praying for comfort for you all.

Although I know you are in a much better place and whole again, I cannot help but feel cheated that we did not get to grow old together. I first met Cheryl when we both attended the Governor's School for the Gifted at Mary Washington the summer before our senior year in high school. We reconnected when we both attended William and Mary and eventually became roommates our last year there. Cheryl was fun, beautiful, and talented. We were lucky enough to be able to share each other's weddings and the births of our children. We only got together once or twice a year, but I will always love and miss you, my friend! Steve, Christen, and Terry, may you find peace in what a great person Cheryl was.

We've been grieving so long watching Huntington's do it's terrible work. I will never forget my beautiful, kind, talented friend who took me under her wing in college. Praying for her brave family that cared for her with love and great dignity to the end. Love from the Melchers family.
