My staff in the NSU Internal Auditing Department joins me in extending heartfelt sympathy to the Hennett Family during your hours of sorrow and bereavement. May you feel the comfort that is afforded to you through your faith and the precious memories of the many interactions you've shared with Deane. Deane consistently exhibited a caring and helpful disposition in the internal auditing community. He willingly led and assisted the College and University Auditors of Virginia in any capacity which opportunity was given. His friendly and unassuming disposition will be greatly missed. Nevertheless, we are all blessed because he passed our way. Deane, rest in peace!

To the family of Deane Hennett: Deane was a very good colleague and mentor to me when I assumed the role of CAE at VSU and when my daughter was transitioning to ODU. Heartfelt memories and laughable moments never forgotten. He was always insightful in many respects. May you find peace in knowing Deane served God's purpose very well. Thank you.
