Donald Wilder Obituary
Don was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Lloyd and Essie Wilder; older brother Billy; and long-time friend Joe Lehtinen. Don was Pop to West (Mary, step-son Colin), he was Dad to Kelly (Steve) and Sergio (Francoise, son André). He was his granddaughter Aubrey's "Happy" - how she first pronounced Pappy. Don is also survived by fianceé, Dianna Edwards. He was affectionately known as Pop to others who loved him including Dianna's sons Danny (Ashley) and Michael, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 16, at 1 PM at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd Chapel. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Reception with light food to follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 PM. www.SturtevantFH.com

I first met Don as young Jaycee more than fifty years ago when we´re both young men and I have followed his career through the PFD as he rose to his Captaincy. He was always looking to improve himself and was kind to those in service with him.
My deepest sympathy to his family and friends who are grieving his loss.
May he rest in eternal peace.

Met Don at fire dispatch office in 1970. Got me into Jaycees, then a very large group. Introduced me to my wife after a chance encounter at very small TCC bookstore. Helped him with algebra class. Hope you all have many memories to sustain you at this time just as I do. Dave Leonard
