Doris Elizabeth Dealey

Doris Elizabeth Dealey, 96, of Chesapeake, VA, passed away on February 11, 2022.

Born in New York, she was the daughter of the late George and Josephine Weber and the widow of Robert Dealey. She is survived 4 children, Paul, Susan, Ted and David and 7 grandchildren, Ted, Brian, Daniel, Timothy, Meadow (Ted Karch) and Noah, Marina (David/Karen).

Doris grew up in Bronx, NY and in 1957 moved to East Northport to raise her family. She worked 25yrs for Saint Johns Hospital. When she retired she moved to Chesapeake, VA in 1990. She had many hobbies including bowling and volunteering at Chesapeake Hospital. She had a talented passion for ballroom dancing and Big Band music. She would dance multiple times during the week and danced at Roseland Ballroom in NYC.

After moving to Chesapeake she joined the New Comers Club, where she made many friends. Loved to play cards with her friends. She was an animal lover, had a heart of gold for her pets. She had a great smile, that would make anybody smile. She will be immensely missed by anybody who knew her.

Funeral services will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, February 17, at 12:30pm followed by interment at 2pm at Rosewood Memorial Park in Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations to www.Project2heal.org. Nonprofit organization that breeds Labradors for wounded warriors and children with special needs.
