Edward Reason

Edward E. Reason CHESAPEAKE - Edward Earl Reason, 70, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ April 6, 2009. He was a native of Plymouth, N.C., and was a son of the late William and Lena Reason. He retired after 20 years of service with the Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Distribution, Norfolk. Mr. Reason was a member of Good News Baptist Church, taught Friendship Sunday school class and was an ordained minister. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Joyce E. Reason; a daughter, Mildred Sherrington and husband Richard of Wheatfield, Ind.; three sisters, Mildred Campbell, Mary Lou Dew and Carol Sawyer, all of Plymouth, N.C.; three brothers, John Reason of Washington, N.C., Robert Reason of Porter, Texas, and Dexter Reason of Washington, N.C.; and three grandchildren, Cori Tillema and husband Paul of Wheatfield, Ind., Becki Harwood of York, Pa., and Kara Sherrington. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Good News Baptist Church by Dr. Walt Coles and Pastor David Mros. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
