Edward Wainscott

Edward D. Wainscott VIRGINIA BEACH - Edward D. Wainscott, 61, passed away Aug. 11, 2010. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra Wainscott; daughter, Adrienne Wainscott; son, Matthew Wainscott, all of Virginia Beach; sisters, Joyce West, Sheila Seaton, Sherri Strunk, and Lisa Arnold, all of Kentucky; sister-in-laws, Debi and husband Dale Martin of Florida, Diane and husband David Frazier of Virginia Beach; brother-in-law, Gary Carpenter of North Carolina; mother-in-law, Irmgard Carpenter of Virginia Beach; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Elizabeth Wainscott and brother, Jerry. Mr. Wainscott was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy SEALS, when he was tragically injured in a training accident many years ago. He was a former Marine and a Vietnam veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. The family would like to thank Beacon Shores, River Pointe Rehabilitation, and Odyssey Hospice Care. A private family service and internment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date. Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462, is handling the arrangements.
