Elizabeth Feldt Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Feldt passed away peacefully on Nov. 11, 2021, surrounded by family in Va Beach at 94 years old. Betty was born on Jan. 13, 1927 in Cortland, NY and retired as a Librarian at Blair Junior High in Norfolk. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics from Cornell University and received her Master's Degree in Audio Visual Computers from JMU.

Of all days, it is no surprise that she graduated to heaven on Veterans Day. Although it is a sad loss for us on earth, she has finally reunited with her hero in heaven, her husband and POW Survivor, WWII. Betty was predeceased by her husband Everett Feldt Sr., beloved parents Philip Stevens Sr. and Elizabeth Scott, stepmother Hazel VanBurgh, brother Philip Stevens Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Everett Feldt Jr., Philip Feldt, Robert Feldt, Alan Feldt, along with 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will take place in Jan 2022 to celebrate her life at Beach Fellowship. The family would like to thank the staff at SVBGH and VB Healthcare & Rehab for their care of Betty, as well as H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. for all their support. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Betty's honor to REACH, Inc. (Reading Enriches All Children).

"Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?'" (John 11:25-26)
